The Joint Oversight Committee on the Department of Juvenile Services was authorized in 2006 (Chapter 11, Acts of 2006). The Committee was to review the operations of the Department of Juvenile Services, and the reports of the Department to the General Assembly. Progress made by the Department in developing and implementing the Facilities Master Plan, required by Chapter 431, Acts of 2004, also was to be monitored by the Committee.
The Committee never met and its authorization ended on December 31, 2007.
