Annual Report to Governor & the public outlining achievements of each partnership (Executive Order 01.01.2023.05).

In May 2023, the Maryland Council on Innovation and Impact was formed by the Governor (Executive Order 01.01.2023.05).

The Council works to ensure that resources and expertise of innovative social sector organizations are leveraged, deployed, and aligned with the efforts of the State to meet common challenges. To encourage the flow of innovation, talent, and resources across social and government sectors, the Council identifies and explores ways in which these cross-sector partnerships can be developed and strengthened. Moreover, the Council is responsible for infusing all of the State’s innovation and impact work with the best available evidence, and ensuring that the State measures results, and contributes to the existing evidence base where possible.

To the Governor, the Council brings ideas and policy options that develop, leverage, and maintain partnerships across social and government sectors to deliver community services and accelerate the pace of positive change in Maryland communities.
