Delegate, Democratic Party National Convention, 1980, 1984, 1988, 1992, 1996, 2004. Past member, Baltimore City Democratic Central Committee (past chair). Board of Directors, Bon Secours Foundation; Downtown Management Authority; Downtown Partnership of Baltimore; Mid-Town Belvedere. Recipient, Pro Ecclesia et Pontifica Medal from Pope John Paul II. Member, St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church, Baltimore, Maryland. One child; one grandchild.
